This form of currency is from the captains as a gesture of respect and appreciation for good behavior. It can be used on any planets and is more valuable than gold and diamonds. All crew will also receive new winter gear; boots, jackets, gloves, hats, the works. Incipen: An assortment of fine chocolates. Tiruncula: Fancy perfume that compliments the wearer. Puerum: A nice calligraphy set. Nauta through Privatus: Tarot cards that move. Arcarius through Gubernato: Some expensive beverages. Corporali through Legato: A get out of jail free card. About the rank privileges: should we follow the rank characters had up to January, or the one they get after the AC? For instance, if a character is Privatus now, but Arcarius (or more) with the AC done, will they get the tarot cards or the beverages?

I'm a little confused on what the consequences are for characters getting captured. Will they be able to be rescued?

Assuming that the defense system stations include interfaces for the crew to point and shoot things, Chara would be determined to take and operate one during Breakout. Are there any chances that this might be possible to do? I am down with Chara being hauled out later by the scruff of their uniform to make way for someone who's bigger and more experienced, if there are few enough stations!

Quick question with AC-- are threads under an open starter (in, say, an intro/event log) counted by comment count, or all as one proof?

Similarly is a closed log "one log", or "X log comments"? Does it matter if there were multiple threads inside?

I've got two questions!

First, how quickly will Yata be expected to start his job as Cúrre's bodyguard? I'm assuming within a few days at the very latest, but I just want to be sure!

Second, how much will his job limit his event participation? I figure he probably won't be able to take part in the breaking out and rescue sections, for example, but I'm not sure how much leeway (if any) he has on how far and how long he can be away from Cúrre without getting busted for shirking duties.

Hi! I just wanted to clarify something real quick while I'm planning; since the log mentions this arrival being more chaotic than others and it seems like newbs are showing up right in the midst of things getting started, should we be assuming any of the normal arrival processes are going to be different at all (cut short, etc.)? Or is that all going to proceed as described in the FAQ and then they're going to find out they've kind of walked into a mess?

I apologize if this should be obvious, but I don't really understand what the implication about the children is. What are they suggesting they are accomplishing by vanishing these children? It's suggested it has to do with ensuring that the matches are correct but the post doesn't actually explain how that works or what it means. I'm not sure what the correlation is.

Also, did the searches of the various cities actually happen? I know there was a poll for that with the explanation that the length of the plot would depend on the decision that was made, but the choice or its consequences weren't really touched on in the new post, unless I missed it.

if one were to knock out a Link'd Inc security personnel involved in the arrests and detainment, would they possibly find anything that might help them find where other crewmates are being held?

tangentially related can we burn down a detention center. probably accidentally.

also how disruptive would a riot be to Link'd Inc attempts to stop the people rescuing the kids? asking for reasons.

Can you explain more about the defense systems and what those from the defense and gunnery divisions would be expected to do?

ANOTHER QUESTION: For the distraction part, just to be clear, what kind of resistance can we expect from the Emirans? Combat wise I mean. Is it strictly military? Rioting citizens? What kind of weapons are they using?

Is Benjamin Link still on the ship by the time the ship leaves Emiri's orbit? And if so, how is he being treated? Is he in the hold or does he have somewhat normal accommodations like the rest of the refugees?

Did the Komai's February "boo Moira" videos (and I guess the January "boo Link'd" videos too) display on the MIDs as well as Emiri's screens?

Loki's probably free for rescues- or for disguises, for crews going on rescues. But unless it's one of about three people, he'll need to be asked.

He can also teleport people to/from the surface, and he'll probably be offering that via a network post at some point- along with weapons.

I'm over on mavari if you want to handwave knowing to ask him; I don't bite, but I do ramble about comics, so you know.

Rinzler

Flying all the flyables is Rinzler's ship-job, so he's open for transport shenanigans pretty much wherever. THAT SAID, he's also a murderbot with a lot of frustration to (literally?) kill and will be more than willing to jump in on any fights your characters may want help with.

For a more specific event rundown...

Decoy/Distract: Rinzler will totally be interested, but given how many issues he has with "nonlethal" problem-solving, someone should sit on him. A lot. He can fly the bus and backup the other team members?

Rescue: he gives no cares about childthings, so unless someone drags him in for transport, he'll probably be elsewhere.

Breakout: FUN TIMES. He'll be up for evac-duty on the transporters, but once Emiri starts attacking, he'll be switching to his own lightjet to shoot down all the everything. While he'd be very reluctant to part with it, he does have a spare (and he's been looking into getting the transporters weaponized for a while), so anyone who'd want in on aerial dogfight shenanigans, let's plot!

It's not his job, BB would certainly take one of those transports off your hands there Rinzler and play taxi, or back seat driver because he can.

All of the transporters now have guns (thanks Peridot!). And there are apparently twelve of them! So plenty of room for anyone who wants to grab a miniship for the fighting.

Well BB isn't much of a help in physically helping, but he is pretty good at taking over systems and using them for his own means. So he's more then willing to put a piece of himself in a few MIDS to give you unhelpful commentary and remotely hack anything he's able to get his digital fingers in enough to do so.

Or you know let him be uploaded into a vessel and play taxi or help you aim at your defense station, he's flexible for such.


Though he'll also sorta just be there making comments that no one wants to hear and pointing out every little flaw in the whole set up that clearly everyone should be able to see.

Niko Bellic will be finding the body but after he has it on ice, he's going to ask Than what to do with it and he'll be told to take it to cryo. If someone in his CR / someone he has good reason to know to be competent wants in on that, let me know.

If anyone wants to take a look at the body they could probably ask the mods. It may be assumed that Niko would loosely say it looks like he was probably tortured but he won't take his shirt off to check. That bit I'm totally okay with being handwaved or down for conversational CR.

If anyone wants him for some breaking out I'd like that too.

Kazuhira Miller I will probably throw at being a decoy and also at extracting people who are breaking out. He will be prioritizing any children because he's Mama Miller and be using wormhole fultons. I might put up a starter for him but I'll also jump on others.

Solid Snake

Gonnna track Snake's involvement over the course of what was described on the intro log!

- I'm definitely going to have Snake be there when Niko finds the box, since he's also a cargo bay worker. So if anyone wants to hear that gruesome tale and wouldn't have necessarily been there, he's your guy!

- Between this murder and the fact that the Komai have decided to put all the blame on the Moira, Snake isn't going to be particularly happy with them at this point. He'll be all for wanting to get the hell out of there, and I'm going to look into seeing if he could be part of the mission to get Benjamin to the computers, possibly with Peridot?

- Snake would also want to help all the released kids get to safety, so he'll definitely be on duty doing that. He has the skills to avoid being captured, so he figures that's where he'd serve the crew best.

- When the Moira has to fight back against the pursuing Emirian ships, Snake would probably jump to one of the defense stations even though that's not his job because HELL YEAH SHOOTING THINGS. This is what he lives for.

NAPOLEON SOLO

napoleon is going to try and avoid standing out so during the actual action parts he'll be in the background not doing much, but not being so useless as to get noticed for it.

but more importantly (for him) HE WANTS THE COIN THINGS is anyone up for him stealing from your character? he'll take the booze as well. or any other valuables really

Maya has a flask of space booze. I mean, she'd probably catch him in the act, but it might be a fun way to meet someone.

But so far I have only planned J to help Emirians on Moira? She'll be giving out makeover to some kids and then entertain grown ups by singing/putting on a performance around the bar?? Before that she's going to get in small trouble on the planet and then be rescued by Captain America Handsome.

I'd really like to get her involved to the decoy/distraction part (because she'd be awesome at it) but tbh, I think she'd need to be talked into it?? Or at least asked personally?

Also, she's going to want to trade those tarot cards away. She'd much rather have booze, perfume or even chocolates >:
