Multiversal travel can be disorienting, but there’s no need to worry! All side effects are temporary and lessen with each trip. Your body may experience several sensations at once: being pushed forward as if a hand is resting on your back, momentary and startling blindness, a gentle ringing in your head. You may have difficulty discerning whether it is hot or cold, but where you have been prodded is noticeably warmer than the rest of you. Some may suffer dizziness while others are perfectly fine. You notice that the area you are in is filled with a soft cerulean light and feels slightly humid and dark despite the glow around you. Regardless of your current state, however, the stress of transit forces your body into unconsciousness. Waking up is another story. Or maybe it isn’t. You find yourself in a nondescript room; sometimes with others who have found themselves in the same situation, sometimes alone. Welcome to Avagi Station, your new home. New arrivals are, of course, welcome to explore the various locations around the station. Additionally everyone is provided with a communicator in case they want to pose any questions to the population already residing on Avagi. |
Moon 900CA1 |
Like every city has a junkyard, this universe is littered with (mostly) uninhabited planets or moons that are being used for the same purpose. Welcome to one of the many universal "dump sites" of the galaxy. Moon 900CA1 is one of many, a celestial body belonging to the planet of Ploria, and as this area of the universe is technologically advanced in comparison to others, so is a majority of the junk left here. There is a haze encompassing this moon and breathing masks are needed for anyone who decides to visit the surface. Every inch of ground is covered in debris, various spacecrafts, and machines. Some of it is piled higher than one can see over if standing at the bottom. spare parts: What’s even better than having to trade precious goods or services for the equipment that the station so desperately needs? Getting them for free. Well, free with the added ingredient of elbow-grease. Stocking up spare parts is a must when traveling the universe. This planet is brimming with discarded ships, machines, vehicles, and all manners of "outdated" technology. You’ve been given a list of things to keep an eye out for while you’re out shopping but feel free to pick up something for yourself. After all, one species’ trash might be your coolest thing ever. build-a-thing: While it’s clear that most of the visitors here are scavenging or looting, there are a very small number of booths scattered throughout where vendors have set up shop. Is there something you need or want? New jet-propulsion space shoes? A small flying craft? A robot? These vendors will use scrap parts that you’ve found and brought to them, for a small fee of course, to build it for you. Be sure to bring the best parts that you can because you’ll only get the highest quality that you’ve provided. trash junkies:: Such large stacks of trash are bound to shift and move over time, it’s simply a natural part of this moon’s gravity fluctuations, but why is it that the movements are perfectly in sync with every step you take? You move, the debris moves. You stop, the junk stills. If you choose to investigate, or get too close too quickly, you’ll discover that you aren’t alone in your scavenging. Creatures, varying anywhere between a foot to over ten feet tall, dive and sort through the debris. They are diligent in their searches and shy away from organic contact of any kind. If you have anything that they deem of value in your hands, they’ll wait until your back is turned and then try to take it from you. On the plus side, they don't seem too dangerous? moon tomb: Those who choose not to wear a breathing mask will notice a horrible and overwhelming scent wafting gently on the wind. It’s a scent that is familiar, but you can’t quite place it. At first. The ACE devices coordinate with your respiratory functions, and a small notice will flash across the screen: High concentration of decomposing organic material. Some will know what this means and head back to the portals immediately. Those who don’t, or are too curious, will follow their ACEs to areas with much higher concentration levels and stumble across an equally common occurrence on these kind of disposal planets: bodies, of varying species, discarded for one reason or another. There are thousands of them spread out among the refuse, and the further you explore, the longer your ACE warns of exposure to elements of disease. Now might be the time to turn back... |

Raven Darkholme | X-men Cinematic Universe | ota
[It takes far too long for Raven to permanently grab hold of consciousness. She wakes several times in the course of what may have been hours, but very well could be longer. Whatever had happened had left its toll on her body and when she sits up her vision swirls and she nearly falls right back down where she's been laying.]
[Nausea keeps hitting her in waves, but she forces her way through it to stand. Someone must have put the white hospital like gown on her while she's been sleeping. Perhaps to save her modesty? Raven is, after all, not always in the habit of wearing clothes when she's in her natural form. Where was she?]
b. observation station
[This isn't going to be an easy transition for Raven. She's not sure what to make of this place. Is it all a trick? The story that they are in space is hard to argue. Raven steps close to the edge of the force field that is the only thing between herself and the vacuum of space beyond it. It's beautiful, yet terrifying all the same.]
[If anyone comes in to have a look or to make use of the conference table, they won't find a blue skinned shapeshifter. Instead, blonde locks are draping her oval pale face. Her outfit is a simple blue dress, a small reference to her true self. She's hiding herself until she's more sure of this place.]
c. exploring- spare parts
[Eventually her curiosity does get the better of her and Raven decides to venture to the planet's surface. She's still sticking with her blonde persona, just to save on any potential questions on her species. Just another human on this alien planet. Adjusting the mask they've given her, Raven's not sure what she's even looking for. What does she even needs to make life more comfortable on the space station? She trudges through the pile of trash, pick up one thing after another only to ultimately toss it aside.]
[Is there any inch of this place that isn't trash? What might it have looked like before? Could it have been like the Earth's moon once?]
d. Network- un:darkholme
How long have others been here? And how many of you have attempted to go back home?
[Raven doesn't particularly enjoy the thought of being stuck on this space station for long. She's already hoping for a means of escape. Not that she particularly enjoys Earth. But it's the principal of the thing. She wants where she is to be her decision. No one elses.]

he's not expecting to run into someone he recognizes, and especially not mystique of all people.
at first, the blue boy is unsure, hesitating in the doorway while he silently eyes the woman. then, after soothing his nerves enough to step into the area, he finally speaks:] Raven? [he inquires tentatively. if he's wrong, she'll simply turn around and correct him, but if he's right ...]
no subject
He's here too. There's a flash of anger boiling up from her chest. They shouldn't have taken him too. If there even is someone to blame for all of this, she's already planning just how to hurt them. She steels her voice of any emotion before speaking so that he won't have any inclination of her thoughts. It's not hard, she's been doing it for so long.] Kurt. Fancy meeting you here.
no subject
Raven, [the teleporter breathes with relief this time, lips quirking at her response.] And you, I'd say.
[he wonders — offhandedly — if she happens to remember any time as a moiran, but resists asking for the moment.] When did you arrive?
no subject
no subject
It doesn't at first, but you'll get used to it. Every day I come up here, I'm reminded that yes, I'm really in space and it's— [a pause, attention briefly averting to the storm.] Amazing, [he finishes, returning his gaze to her while stepping further in.]
no subject
[She keeps her eyes on Kurt, watching him as he gets closer. He's not about to... hug her, is he? She's not sure she's mentally prepared enough for that, but she doesn't step away to remove the option, just yet.] It's something, alright. How long have you been here?

He sees the young woman when he gets there, of course. He assumes she's Charlie. The color of her dress gives him a pang. It's so close to her color.
He sits at one of the tables and pulls up his storm tracking file to take notes of what it's doing today. He doesn't say anything to her, as she appears to be similarly lost in thought. ]
no subject
What's going on here? Surely it's Erik. He's unmistakable. After a moment of further contemplation, she moves from her spot to pull up a chair to sit right across from him. Between him and the storm, so that eventually he'll have to look at her. She leans back in her chair with legs crossed, expectantly, lips forming into an ever increasing thin line. She's just going to stare at you, Erik. Until such time as you acknowledge her.
Surely he hasn't gone senile and forgotten her? He doesn't look to be that old, yet.]
no subject
Raven?
[ He's still not entirely sure, but nobody else ever looked at him like that. ]
no subject
If he really can't be sure, she'll make it crystal clear for him. Her skin ripples, blue scales running up her body until she's unmistakable. It's Raven. In all her glory.]
no subject
Raven!
[ He wants to run over to her, hug her, but he knows better than to try something like that when she's annoyed with him. ]
When did you get here? There... there's a young woman here. Charlie. She looks just like you, I thought you were her. She was you.
It's really you. [ He finishes, exhaling and smiling softly. ]
no subject
I've only been here a couple days. You must have been here longer, I'm assuming.
[If that reaction is anything to go by. He looks like he's about to have a mental break down.] It is really me. [She'll have to address the thought of having a doppelganger later. For now her attentions are on how relieved he seems to be. Like he hasn't seen her in ages when it's been hardly a month for her.]

Truthfully, she expects to see Mystique. But the girl lying there in the hospital gown is... certainly Mystique, yes, but so much younger than the one she had... I guess you could say met?
If it were possible, Rogue's feelings toward Mystique were far more sour than those toward Magneto. Mystique had used Bobby- the first boy to reach out to her at the Institute and make her feel really welcome, and now her boyfriend- against her. Gotten her to leave the school. She'd stood by while a sixteen-year-old girl was strapped into a machine and nearly killed. It takes a really cold-hearted woman to do that.
It reminded her of her mother.
But this Raven... She was going to suss her out as best she could. She couldn't have a repeat of what happened with Erik.
So while Raven lies unconscious, Rogue's been by to check, see if she's awake. It's probably creepy, but looking creepy is the least of her worries. It's during one of her visits that she sees Raven sitting up for the first time, and Rogue's immediately at her side.] Careful- sit up slowly. D'you want some water?
[Southern Hospitality, after all.]
no subject
One breath. Deep. Then another.
She's no idea of her shared history with this girl, no idea what her expectations or concerns might be. She shakes her head at the offer, even though a glass of water probably would be helpful. Raven doesn't trust random strangers she's only just woken up to find waiting at her bedside. But then Raven didn't trust most people, simply on principle. It's safer to expect the worst of a person rather than give the benefit of the doubt.]
Where am I?
[Raven tone isn't angry or hostile, but there is a tinge of suspicion there.]
no subject
[She should have figured she'd be the one giving the welcome speech.] You're on a space station called Avagi. We're all here against our will, and so far no one's managed to find a way back. [She gives a small smile.]
I'm Rogue. One of the X-Men from what I think is your future.
no subject
You're from the future. [She curses lightly under her breath. And they were on a space station.] Is Logan here too to tell me how this is somehow all my fault? [Perhaps she's not making the best first impression. But even savior!Raven can be kind of a B. Sorry, Rogue.]
no subject
Logan left a few months ago. [Logan left, and had gone home to, according to Laura, die.] This is none of our faults- there's no rhyme or reason to who gets picked up.
no subject
[Sitting up, she moves to stand on shaky feet. For a moment she eyes the hospital gown with a wrinkled nose. But she doesn't move to take it off yet.]
So you know me. [She had to of. How else would she know to talk of the X-men?]

Hey, it's gonna be alright. I know this seems like a lot, but it's safe here.
[Technically speaking. There's no immediate threat or danger at the moment, anyway.]
no subject
She can feel the threat of what remained in her stomach wanting to push it's way up and out of her mouth. Her throat burning and taunting that ever present possibility.]
Who- why have you brought me here? Take me back. Now.
no subject
I didn't bring you here. I was taken from my home too. If I could send us back, I would.
[But the fact is, she can't get anyone out of this place. No matter how much she wants to.]
no subject
[Raven starts to walk along the rooms edges, giving passing glances to Clara as she sorts through how she's feeling and what the woman is saying. Excuse Raven, she's not too good with people and doesn't bother to introduce herself.] Where is here?
no subject
[Clara's arms drop down to her side, but she keeps her distance, choosing to slowly walk back toward the opposite end of the room. Her eyes stay focused on the other woman, recognizing the sign that lashing out is a potential to happen. That's the last thing she wants to have happen here.]
It's a space station, in the middle of a star system I can't place. If you're from Earth like most of us are, we've been taken from our universe and placed somewhere else. I know it sounds ridiculous, but it's somehow possible because of the Ingress. It's what pulled you in here against your will. It's what pulled most everyone in.
no subject
We're in space. [Clearly this blue woman is not an alien frequently in the habit of space travel.]
