Tell us something about them. 17 yr old mutant with some pretty amazing abilities, 80s kid, semi-wallflower that needs coaxing into having fun, loyal friend with a compassionate streak a mile wide.
How long have they been on the Moira? Just arrived!
What have they been doing? She'll be focused on getting settled into life on the ship, pretty much.
What do they think of the captains? Hopes they keep their word about returning them to their homes once they reach their ultimate destination.
Have they figured out a plan of action? Adapt as best she can, try to get along with people on the ship.
Is there something specific your character wants to do? Jean, being how she is, will probably keep to herself at first while slowly feeling out the rest of the crew. Finding out there are more telepaths on the ship will be a wonderful shock for her.
Got plans for the next month? Getting Jean all the friends, seeing what else she gets up to with those friends.

Tell us something about them. Duo is a war vet! Bet you didn’t see that coming. He’s your typical 16-year-old joker who grew up a street rat on a space colony called L2, if your typical 16-year-old joker ever demolished military bases with a giant non-sentient robot. Which he eventually upgraded to this bad boy but then some nutjob hippies might’ve convinced Duo flying his precious Gundam into the sun was a good idea. Yeah. It didn't exactly happen that way but y'know, life.

How long have they been on the Moira? He's new! Be his friend. You may not get a choice. :D

What have they been doing? He'll be a mechanic, so he'll eventually be doing that and probably sticking his nose in places he shouldn't.

What do they think of the captains? Neutral. He doesn't trust them but he doesn't have much reason to like them or hate them either way.

Have they figured out a plan of action? Duo isn't a planner. Things just happen.

Is there something specific your character wants to do? Too new! I'll have to see what happens.

Got plans for the next month? I'm going to focus on getting him situated, basically, and getting to know people on the ship. He's not shy and I'm pretty open to him approaching characters who'd otherwise wouldn't approach him. He's outgoing, so it wouldn't even be an issue. Let me know if you'd like for him to come up and talk to your characters! He's tenacious so even the most stubborn will have a hard time shaking him off. :D

What about plans over all? The only long term goal at present is to get Deathscythe Hell on the ship. Otherwise, I'll be going with the flow and seeing what happens.

Specific CR? I'm open to pretty much every type of relationships, positive or negative, and don't have any constraints about the different kinds of characters he interacts with. The more diverse, the better. I'd like for him to bug the Transformers around here if anyone's open to having a grease monkey be all curious about them. >.>

Mettaton (Undertale)

Who is this character? Mettaton, or MTT for short.
Tell us something about them. Egotistic robot superstar with HOT LEGS. Well, most of the time. Sometimes he's a box and sometimes he's a hottie glambot. AND IN JULY...he was a ghost. But we don't talk about that. Anyway!! The best way to get on his good side is to ask him about himself. ;) Cons of that is he will talk about himself. Also he's SUUUUUPER ENTHUSIASTIC ALL THE TIME!!!!! So expect loud speech and gobs of exclamation points!
How long have they been on the Moira? Four months what the heck.
What have they been doing? HAHA oh my god. Okay let's try doing bad news before good news, eh?

He's been going through a lot. In July, he had to deal with the whole Caducan invasion, and trying to protect who he cared about. Spoilers: IT DIDN'T WORK, so he went a little bonkers and committed approximately a billion alien murders, at least until the aliens damaged him enough that his soul pretty much imploded within his robot body. :'D And when he came back to life, he was a ghost, so he had to deal with how upsetting that was, because you know. Dysphoria and dissociation and also guilt for killing everyone. There's more, but I don't want to yak anyone's ear off about the first half of the month only. THERE'S MORE.

Second half of the month, his body was repaired enough to possess, which is cool! But what isn't cool is being sent to a weird outpost and immediately captured/sold off to a murdersport slaver, wherein he was forced to murder more people when he was already hung up on what he'd already done. Literally, if he didn't fight, then his owner operated him like an RC car.

Which brings us to Mettaton now, who is just trying to pick up the pieces, fit them together properly (to his taste), and probably pretend none of this happened. So what I said up there about him being egotistic and SUPER ENTHUSIASTIC is actually going to be come and go, because he has to sort himself out. Especially since, by the rules of Undertale, he has gained LOVE (translation: level of violence, which means he murdered enough people to "level up" his murder idk), and it's making him a little apathetic about...living things? And while he isn't questioning his purpose--he's an entertainer, full stop--he is questioning if all he's good for is hurting others.

To round this off, he's dating Papyrus and HOPEFULLY THIS GUY WILL SAVE HIM FROM HIMSELF A LITTLE. But also he was forced to fight Papyrus in murdersport hell, which was not cool.

...What a month!

What do they think of the captains? He's slowly getting more aggravated that they aren't in control of any situation? He's not interested in working for figureheads, but he needs to get home so.

Have they figured out a plan of action? Mettaton is not currently very comfortable. He does his job pretty well, usually, but he's probably not showing up every single day anymore, and if it means he's in trouble, then he'll have pretty strong words for the captains about it, because he's not used to this much stress in his life. For now, he's going to put any of his creative ideas on hold and do the bare minimum while he tries to jump back from murdering, dying, asking a hot skeleton out, and then murdering again + fighting the hot skeleton.

He's not going to be completely taciturn, but he is going to be pretty much avoiding uncomfortable topics until...he can't anymore, and then he just busts out with all this sudden TMI.

Is there something specific your character wants to do? For now, just get back to a good state of mind after all of his drama. But he IS going to eventually come out of his silent spell to compliment J for winning Leg Con + apologize for being late on announcing that.

Got plans for the next month? Short-term, his goals are going to center around hanging with Asriel because he feels bad for this poor child, fussing over his castmates and close CR, and probably just dealing with the new and exciting (and ultimately positive) experience of dating someone. He's got to take things one day at a time to get his groove back. He'll be happy to make new friends too tho, and if he does, he'll overcompensate spectacularly so they don't know he's stressed.

Oh. I might have him admit that he was the little pink ghost floating around for half of July. Anyone want to ask about it and maybe you know. Push that along? ;)

As far as what I want to do with him concerning his shiny new baggage? Have a look down at the next section.

What about plans over all? OKAY July has set a lot of character arc related stuff for Mettaton into motion! Let me see if I can split it up nicely.

First off, he died. This is Mettaton's first time dying EVER (if you don't count resets that he doesn't remember) and you aren't supposed to come back from that. Furthermore, he didn't know he could die since he's always been a...ghost in the machine. huehue no seriously though. As a result of this revelation, and all the negative connotations that it comes with, he's going to be really nervous about dying again. He values his mortality, and even though it's going to be a while before his ghost self repossesses his robot body permanently, he's still going to be apprehensive.

Furthermore, he's not the kind of guy to feel guilty externally, but he just murdered roughly A LOT of people, and he's not okay with it anymore. It's to the point where he's having a bit of an identity conundrum. He knows what he likes to do and it involves entertaining, but now he's stuck on whether he's really just good at killing people, and that he's distracting from that fact. And did he change just by inhabiting this robot body with human eradication directives? WHO IS HE. WHAT IS REAL.

Finally, Mettaton has a really unhealthy coping mechanism for things that don't sit well with him, which is that he literally won't talk about it or even acknowledge its existence. For a decent chunk of August, he is going to pretend that July only consisted of him asking Papyrus out to most people. He's currently kind of talking about stuff (to Asriel for example), but everyone else is going to get an overly happy robot who will not talk about why he is so...not-legitimately-happy. It's going to be awkward. It'll be like seeing someone crying and then when you ask them if they're okay, they put on the fakest smile and shout to the skies that they're TOTES FINE WHAT'RE YOU TALKIN' ABOUT?

Someone please get this robot a therapist.

- Someone(s) to talk to honestly. Mettaton legit needs a therapist for this past month's load of bullshit, but gl getting him to admit that. He needs people he can open up to and that feel comfortable ICly AND OOCly, because I don't want to dump MTT's drama on the unwilling! Lmk if you are in fact willing to do this.
- People to call him out on his shit habits, for real tho.
- Someone he can drag into doing a show with him. Bro, he needs distractions like crazy.

What have they been doing? working in medbay, trying to stay away from trouble. lately though he's just been hanging out in cryo, with me being on hiatus these last ~3 weeks. but he'll be coming out tomorrow confused af about everything he's missed.
What do they think of the captains? they're okay but he still doesn't really trust them.
Have they figured out a plan of action? he's just trying to do his fucking job and keep everyone alive so they can all get back home safe and sound. maybe enjoy himself a little bit (once in a blue moon).

Who is this character? agent washington, aka wash, aaka david from the webseries red vs. blue

Tell us something about them. wash is a space marine from the 26th century, once a member of a military program called project freelancer. the program lied to and used its agents, tortured and fractured an ai, and traumatized and ruined some of its agents with these ai fragments. wash happened to receive an ai fragment that was unstable, dumped a long list of memories into his head, and then...killed itself in his head. he's also been betrayed by way too many people, even those he considered friends, nearly killed by some of them, and long story short he is angry, bitter, trusts no one, and is generally in a very bad place right now. oh, he also arrived on the moira directly from military prison, so!! take that as you will.

How long have they been on the Moira? 8 months!

What have they been doing? friend, it has been A Month for wash. end of june, he got into a fight with tex that resulted in a broken rib. soon after there was a ship-wide fight with the angry caducans, which did not help heal his rib and resulted in more injury. the glassing that followed traumatized him a little in turning his neural implants into glass. then he was captured and sold as a slave and used in murdersports, which forced him to fight other people to the death. thankfully he was rescued by rinzler and they...murdered their way out of the place BUT LET'S JUST SAY HE'S IN BAD SHAPE BOTH PHYSICALLY AND MENTALLY RIGHT NOW.

What do they think of the captains? doesn't trust them as far as he can throw them.

Have they figured out a plan of action? no. he's still hanging around, still doing his job, hoping somewhere in the back of his mind that they really are heading somewhere that can get them home.

Is there something specific your character wants to do? scream. drink. maybe find a sparring partner or two. he wants for little more than to get home at the moment.

Got plans for the next month? LAUGHS. wash will be attacking maine upon spotting him among the new arrivals at the beginning of the month. aside from that... a lot of tagging with new arrivals. having wash trying to cope with his new series of traumas (or bottle them up, you know, whatever), and try to get him resting some more so his injuries actually do some healing finally. though uh, he'll probably still sneak some activity here and there because he's terrible at doing nothing. so, really, things are pretty wide open.

What about plans over all? eventual canon update to the end of s13, but that's at least a few months off. right now it's pretty much just seeing how everything here affects him from the canonpoint he's at right now and how he develops.

Specific CR? like i always say, i want every kind of cr. specifically though, i'd love to get some partners he can spar with. also ai cr. other soldiers to talk to maybe. also, more negative cr because he is the actual worst right now and negative is so easy with him.

Tell us something about them. Ancient Jedi Master. Or, well, like 38, but let's just go with ancient. He happens to be an excellent cat wrangler (and people wrangler), his negotiation skills are top notch, he carries a big light sword, and he's very good at dismembering people. Also, good at taking care of other people, not so great at taking care of himself.
How long have they been on the Moira? 5 months!
What have they been doing? Lately, he's been embroiled in cast drama and adopting cats... More recently, he was trapped on the slavers outpost, and due to circumstances that could have probably been avoided, he's suffering aftereffects that are causing his connection to the Force to be compromised. :X So, yeah, that's totally a thing.
What do they think of the captains? Still dubious. No further comment at this time.
Have they figured out a plan of action? For a guy that's usually got a plan, Obi-Wan is really flying by the seat of his pants here. He's currently being forced to roll with the punches. Yep. Getting a lot of practice in doing that pretty much non-stop.
Is there something specific your character wants to do? Currently, Obi-Wan's attempting to work with Anakin, Ahsoka, and a few others to create a loose interpretation of the Jedi Order. It's open to anyone well-meaning, but as of right now, the majority of the focus has been on those with abilities similar to those used by Jedi.
Got plans for the next month? Building some CR with the newbies, adding to previous CR, figuring out what some alien slaver did inside of his head, etc.

Tell us something about them. Tiny little angry and fierce time traveller who's a little too involved, bossy, and egocentric for her own good. Close CR may or may not say she's a needy game player with control freak tendencies. But she's adorable and masks it all by being bubbly so it balances out.
How long have they been on the Moira? Two very long months
What have they been doing? Working in the gardens, doing way too much of her intelligence operative position, forcing her way into being a part of too many things, and she's currently undergoing a breakdown due to the past month of events. Sorry, Clara.
What do they think of the captains? She is so bitter about recent events that she thinks very little of them at the moment.
Have they figured out a plan of action? She won't be doing very well after the last event, so her plan of action going into August will honestly be trying to rest and repair some of the physical and mental ailments she's currently going through.
Is there something specific your character wants to do? Get all the information on everyone and keep all of it as secure and useful as possible. You never know when it might come in useful. She also will probably gain an interest in teaching since it will be calming.

He missed a bunch of the heavy shit last month, so he's pretty much going to be like Troy walking into a burning room with pizza. N.b. he got three hoverboards in the mail. Tell us something about them. dr. grey is the inappropriately cheerful mad-doctor/resident alien-stuff expert of her planet that nobody cares about (literally this is canon, nobody even pretends to care about this dumb planet except for a group of ppl who want to harvest it) who has too many hobbies and way too little chill. when does she sleep? when does she eat? never. she feeds off of your discomfort, which she also causes because she's a giant (ok maybe not, she's pretty short) weirdo. i mean, she's a kind of nice weirdo. she can be a fierce lil team player and she likes being social, but she does come on kind of strong sometimes, her energy/happy levels are Not Normal, she will tell you terrible things in the sweetest tone of voice, and she has an awkward sense of humor, so. s h r u g s

What have they been doing? she has yet to be slurpee'd in to the game, so she's been doing very important battlestuff at home.

What do they think of the captains? she's going to be pretty miffed that she's even here in the first place, because she was kind of in the middle of an epic final showdown. it's probably not any captain's fault, but god damnit, they're the only people around she sees to blame. she's probably going to be pretty passive-aggressive in their general direction for a while.

no, really, she's a physician. you're all getting so many fucking shots. since she's superduper kind of out of her element here, she'll probably throw herself in to her work. and everybody else's work. and she's going to sound real god damn bubbly while she does it, but if her inner ragemonster accidentally peeks out and stabs you a lil too hard, don't take it personally.

Is there something specific your character wants to do? get in everybody's business! once she settles down a little (hahahHAHAHaHAHah) she'll find herself with more free time than she had at home. she will want to spend that free time learning new things! one of those things will definitely be self defense, and the other(s) are totally open. maybe some kind of ship maintenance? she's going to be weirded out by the idea of a gigantic space ship being run by a bunch of people who mostly have no idea what they're doing so she will learn to fix it herself. it's not that she doesn't trust u, it's just that she doesn't really trust u.

How long have they been on the Moira? 5 months!
What have they been doing? Medbay Tech is her primary job. She's been training on and off to build up her strength and hopes to learn some new blood magic stuff. Recently, she was helped by the Captains and she can now walk in sunlight a few hours per day AND eat human food without tossing it back up!! It's still not making her full, so that's the downside. She's been making friends and opening up to people, and a few people know about her secret. She's also finally coming to terms with the idea that she's just trying to survive despite what she's doing - but she also Frenzied in the last event and massacred some Caducans, feeding on them. It was a bad time.
What do they think of the captains? She's okay with them.
Have they figured out a plan of action? Ava tries to go with the flow but she's also trying to be proactive about teaching herself to get stronger to protect herself and others. She's going to be partnering with Anakin and Obi-Wan to get a better hold on her powers.
Is there something specific your character wants to do? Train more. Learn more magic/blood magic. Make more friends and open up to them.
Got plans for the next month? Ava didn't get captured so she wants to check in with people and make sure they're okay. She also has an idea to be a census-taker for people on the ship to help connect them to people who have been here before or people who are currently on board. She's also just going to reach out to some people she has acquaintance CR with to see if they can help her get stronger. Aaaaand finally, maybe tell a few people her secret. Maybe.
What about plans over all? Basically just to get stronger as a person, to accept herself, and to finally feel comfortable enough to be open with what she is. She hates lying about it so much but she's also terrified someone will kill her for it. I'd love for her to feed on some willing people but that's further down the line and will require close friendships with those people and/or a mutual understanding of what feeding entails. She won't do it to anyone unwilling. Casual dates...not limited to romantic/sexual. She just wants to experience normal life and do normal stuff. Beach planet really helped her want to go back to that.

◦ Her family situation continues to be kind of fucked (mad at dad, mad that son is mad at her), and her twin is no longer here, so that's also going to be affecting her.
◦ She's living in a private room on Moro deck and the Millennium Falcon these days, so your character might see her either in the communal sections of Moro deck or in the cargo bay regularly.

What do they think of the captains? Deeply unhappy with them, finds them entirely untrustworthy, thinks they're ridiculously incompetent. Mad.

He doesn't hate it, but he isn't completely for it either. He's going to go with the flow to begin with.

He'll be a personal defense specialist, and will be doing his job appropriately. He can teach basically how to use an opponent's weight and momentum against them. She did believe in the Republic, although her faith in it started to waiver towards the end, especially as the war continued. She is quite cunning and intelligent, but also kind and considerate. Her last job featured the discovery of Atlantis and its big ol' crystal/power source, which Rourke (her commander/teacher/mystery-relationship buddy) and her promptly tried to steal, regardless of the known consequences for the Atlantean people. The plan was foiled, Rourke backstabbed her quite massively, and that's about where the Ingress pulled her from.

What have they been doing? She is a Window Transparency Enhancement Facilitator. Don't you touch those windows. Don't you dare.
What do they think of the captains? She doesn't trust them, but she doesn't trust anyone so that isn't exactly news.
Have they figured out a plan of action? Nope. As far as Helga is concerned, the Ingress just saved her hide, so she will hold back on the judgment until she has gathered some intelligence.

Tell us something about them. i don't have an opt-out post yet, but it's coming, because... hoo boy, content warnings everywhere here. miray's a clone from a world where the human race was failing, and a genetic mutation — called the Kerns-Norman gene — evolved to save it, only humanity sucks so they decided to monetize this gene instead. people with this mutation are kept to "houses" and cloned for various gross reasons, and miray's line is an experiment to see if naturally-born KNs are superior to their lab-grown counterparts. she's been pregnant more of her life than she hasn't, due to fiddling with her genetics, and her body is failing because of it. all of her children were taken from her before she could ever even see them, and as a result she's tried very hard to stop caring about anything, with the exceptions of alva, her best friend and sometimes physician, and andyr, with whom she has a very complicated relationship. she's very passive, pretty selfish, and has never seen the outside world.

Who is this character? Jack Wynand from Bioshock

Tell us something about them. Jack is the main character of Bioshock, a game about capitalism and the free market. Also it's about a hellish underwater city called Rapture where people are going insane because they keep genetically modifying themselves. He's spent the last couple days trying to survive while getting help from a man on the radio named Atlas. His own personal choices in game have involved saving the Little Sisters rather than harvesting them. Generally he's not too horrible of a person. He's just tired, paranoid and heavily armed. Don't approach while wearing a mask.

How long have they been on the Moira? -3 days

What have they been doing? He's going to be a hypnotherapist, which will be hilarious considering his only experience with that is throwing a plasmid at a big daddy's head.

What do they think of the captains? He's low-key distrustful, mostly because of his experiences with Andrew Ryan in Rapture. But as long as they aren't actively trying to murder him he'll just roll with things.

Have they figured out a plan of action? His plan of action is: take a goddamn nap, eat something that's not a candy bar and then see if that guy Atlas is around.

Is there something specific your character wants to do? Nothing in particular! Jack tends to go with the flow and defer to the judgement of others so he'll be figuring out what he even needs to do to survive on the ship.

Got plans for the next month? Nothing in particular!

What about plans over all? I'd love to get Jack moving toward a point where he realizes certain spoilery things about his past organically. I won't get too specific for people who haven't played the game and want to avoid plot twist knowledge.

Specific CR? Good and bad CR are always welcome. I'd love for him to start meeting influential people who could possibly send him on weird character development paths.

Who is this character? Sideswipe, of Transformers: Robots In Disguise

Tell us something about them.
The shitty teenager from the Cybertron the war forgot. Meaning, he... does not know half the bad shit the other bots have had to go through, and the hardest thing ever in his life was getting arrested once or twice for speeding and catcalling other giant robots (I am 100% serious). Authority problems, adrenaline junkie, and actually not a half-bad friend once he actually tries. He wants so bad to be the rebellious Bad Boy but he is just a noodle.

How long have they been on the Moira? A couple months, ish. I'm bad at remembering.

What have they been doing?
He rode a whale. Got grounded. Mouthed off a lot, and completely forgot about having an actual job for a while. Oops. Rooming with Riptide, currently. Wants to build an arcade. Panicked and hid from zombies, and... slowly developed a huge, rampaging crush on Riptide that only got worse when the big guy died and came back. He REALLY LIKES his human buddies. Tried to hide at home when he found out Riptide died, and that failed.

Also attempting to find ways to "fix" the problems his other robot buddies have or have caused. Likes humans... probably more than the other bots do.

He's starting to learn more about his robot buddies and he's not sure he likes what he hears. He hates Megatron, currently. And also Tarn. Shove that guy out the airlock please. Oh, but he got his MP3 player back so expect robot signing periodically.

What do they think of the captains?
"Okay, if they REALLY cared about us, they'd kick the 'Cons out the airlocks and let them float home."

Have they figured out a plan of action?
He was pretty happy until he realized he was stuck here with Megatron, and then, later, Tarn. He's super pissed about that part. Now he's just sort of trying to get by, whoops, making a lot of human buddies because humans seem like they have WAY LESS ISSUES than his own robot people. Geez, guys. He just wants to prove he's not a complete child to all of them.

Is there something specific your character wants to do?
IMPRESS HIS FELLOW ROBOTS. IMPRESS THESE COOL SPACE WIZARDS. PROVE HIMSELF. Learn more about his human buddies. Karaoke. Date Riptide how do dates even work. Learn to sword better.

Nah bruh I am an open book, but I love plotting stuff!

Short of him trying to prove himself to all his friends, not really. The poor kid is running himself into the ground to try and solve everyone's awful emotional problems. Also trying to "fix" things and figure out his RAGING RIPTIDE CRUSH... but that's about it.

EVERYTHING. He's friendly, but also irritating as heck. So. There's that. Maybe more stupid teenage friends to get into Trouble with. Please do stupid shenanigans with this noodle.

Who is this character? THIS IS HAWKE AKA CHAMPION OF KIRKWALL
Tell us something about them. Hawke is very easy going. She is full of sass and jokes about whatever happens to kind of a really crazy and bizarre extent because she is really trying hard not to think about emotions and feelings. So basically she will meet ya bros in the bar and meet ya bros out on the training simulations and just wanting to have a good time.
How long have they been on the Moira? Two months.
What have they been doing? At first Hawke did a great job of getting along with people and just generally being like "this spaceship shit, weird right?". But last month she was kidnapped by sex slavers and while she escaped fairly quickly was deeply disturbed and left uncomfortable by these events. So she's kinda more distant than she ever intended.
What do they think of the captains? Kidnappers are assholes but they are not her highest priority.
Have they figured out a plan of action? Hawke doesn't care much for plans of action beyond "get the fuck outta this and don't be a pawn"
Is there something specific your character wants to do? Hawke doesn't want to do anything. BUT since her capture and experience being nearly sold into sex slavery, she's become a little more reclusive. She's still cheery and uncaring to a fault on the surface but she is definitely more closed off and cold to other people. So I would love anyone that would pull Hawke out of that shell. She is very willing. Someone just has to make the effort.
Got plans for the next month? SO THE SLAVERS STOLE HER CLOTHES?? She is gonna be requesting help from people on the network to help her get some clothes so doing fun and silly or even serious things with that would be fun. Otherwise she is getting wasted at the bar with Tony Stark and Nathan Drake and playing dumb bar games.
